“Waiting on” Wednesday (#6)

Posted September 26, 2012 by Emma in Blog / 16 Comments

“Waiting On” Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Jill @ Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we’re eagerly anticipating.

Title – Bitter Blood (The Morganville Vampires #13)
Author – Rachel Caine
Release Date – November 16th 2012

For years, the human and vampire residents of Morganville, Texas, have managed to co-exist in peace. But now that the threat to the vampires has been defeated, the human residents are learning that the gravest danger they face is the enemy within…

Thanks to the eradication of the parasitic creatures known as the draug, the vampires of Morganville have been freed of their usual constraints. With the vampires indulging their every whim, the town’s human population is determined to hold on to their lives by taking up arms. But college student Claire Danvers isn’t about to take sides, considering she has ties to both the humans and the vampires.

To make matters worse, a television show comes to Morganville looking for ghosts, just as vampire and human politics collide. Now, Claire and her friends have to figure out how to keep the peace without ending up on the nightly news… or worse.

OK, I have been waiting for this for months… I knew what the title was, but Rachel Caine kept this very hush hush, especially the cover! Her covers are always beautiful and this one certainly is. I absolutely love her books! Even though this is the 13th book in the series, she NEVER disappoints! She is an extraordinary woman!
Does anybody want to be Clare!? I love her character and of course I am extremely jealous that she has the very HOT Shane!!!! There relationship throughout the whole series is breath-taking and awe-spiring. I absolutely love Michael and Eve though you can’t Morganville without them…
You going to be very disappointed with me…. I haven’t even read the previous two books, 11 and 12! *SHOCKS* I know right! Well maybe this is a good thing, because I can read them and then get ready for this eagerly anticipated book!!!
Want to join in? Then head over to Jill@Breaking the Spine…
Are you taking part, then leave a me link and I pop over and see what your “Waiting On”.

  1. Ohmygosh, I can't wait for this one!! *squeals* And that cover is TO DIE FOR. I love all the covers in this series, they're seriously awesome. And YES, I would love to be Clare. She's totally badass and she has Shane! *swoon* Eve and Michael are awesome too. I still can't believe you haven't read those. If you want Black Dawn when you get there, I can lend it to you. Awesome pick, Em! 🙂

  3. This series seems to be going on forever. Usually long series get kind of dull after a while, but so many people have still kept up with this series, so it must be good!

Thanks for stopping by our WoW!

  4. I haven't read books 11 and 12 but I have them on my to-read list and I will get to them very soon. I stopped reading because I wanted to have at least two so I don't have to wait too much but now it's time to pick it up again. I can't wait. Great pick!
