Calling ALL Book Bloggers…

I NEED YOUR HELP!

As you may know I’m a part-time Librarian aside from my other work and college studies during the week. As part of my many duties at the library I was inspired to do a display based on YA Books, from a range of genres; Contemporary to Paranormal.
But that means I would need to chose them and I wouldn’t even know where to start. So that’s where you come in… I’ve had so many great opportunities reading the books your recommend and love and now I need you to chose. List your TOP 3 YA books you’ve read and would recommend. It would have to be of CURRENTLY RELEASED Books so that my colleague and I can order them in. I’m looking to display between 10-15 books with a change every week, depending on the issues that we have.
So I would love to hear your favourites and I will be sure to mention you in a the display. It doesn’t matter if some are repeated  between you, I will at the end do a pole if its a very tight decision. I would love to hear all of your decisions, latest by the end of the week.
I would like to say a MASSIVE THANK YOU for taking to time to help me out… How could I chose so little books from a wide range of astounding authors.

  1. What an awesome idea, Emma! That's so kind of you to arrange this for your library – the librarian at my local library is a moody lady who probably couldn't care less about any books that don't interest her! I wish she was more like you 🙂

My favourite 3 YA books that are currently released are:

Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas(without a doubt!)
The Lost Girl by Sangu Mandanna
    Drowning Instinct by Ilsa Bick

I would have said The Fault in Our Stars, but I assume your library already has that! If it hasn't, TFiOS is in my Top 3 🙂

Can't wait to hear how your display goes! xxx

  2. Quite hard to just pick three, but here you go! 😀

    1. The False Prince by Jennifer Nielsen
    2. The Brides of Rollrock Island by Margo Lanagan
    3. Stormdancer by Jay Kristoff

(and Sanctum by Sarah Fine, because we couldn't resist!)

    Good luck on the display!

  3. El

    1. Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas
    2. Pushing the Limits by Katie McGarry
    3. The Golden Lily by Richelle Mead

  4. I agree with Jess, that's really sweet of you do that for your library! My local library, the librarians are friendly, but they don't always have the money to buy lots of new books as books are incredibly expensive here 🙁 But they do have a lot of good books so that's okay :p

    My top three favourites are:
    1. Divergent – Veronica Roth
    2. Life as We Knew It – Susan Beth Pfeffer
    3. The Sky is Everywhere – Jandy Nelson

    Last one!

    4. The Knife of Never Letting Go – Patrick Ness

Everyone needs to read that book, its so heart-breaking! :'( xxx

  5. What a brilliant idea! 😀

    1. The Fault In Our Stars by John Green (Best book ever!!!!!! Even people who don't normally read will love it!)

(And seeing as TFiOS is pretty well-known, I'll do two lesser-known ones which have been recently released. They're both dystopians – my favourite genre!)

    2. Doomed by Tracy Deebs
    and
    3. The Farm by Emily McKay

Hope all goes well with this! 😀

  6. This is a great idea! Although choosing just three books is quite difficult.

1)Second Chance Summer by Morgan Matson
2)The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater
3)Anna Dressed in Blood by Kendare Blake

  7. Ah this is such a good idea Emma! Take a picture and post it once you've completed the display 🙂

    1) The Fault in our Stars by John Green
    2) The Truth About Forever by Sarah Dessen
    3) Cinder by Marissa Meyer

  8. Oh you work in a library? That is awesome Emma! My three reads that I read recently, loved and would totally recommend would be:

  9. Ooh okay, mine are:

    1. Diary of a Crush – Sarra Manning
    2. The Perks of Being a Wallflower – Stephen Chbosky
    3. The Knife of Never Letting Go – Patrick Ness

    Hope it helps!x

  10. Ooh, you're a libarian!? AWESOME JOB 😀 😀 I would be happy to help but narrowing it down to my top 3 is very hard… I'll try anyway, hehe:

    1. The Fault in Our Stars by John Green
    2. Divergent by Veronica Roth
    3. The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins

Good luck with your display! Maybe show us a picture when it is done? 🙂 You must be sooooo busy, Emma, I struggle with time and I'm only at school, hehe ;P
    xx

  11. Ooh, I have quite a few faves, but if I had to narrow it down:
    Partials by Dan Wells
    Shatter Me by Tahera Mafi
    Study by Maria V Snyder

    🙂

  12. Damn, girl. Why can't I work in that library with you? 😀

    OK, so, top 3. Ummm…

Katie McGarry – Pushing the Limits
    Tahereh Mafi – Shatter Me
    Cynthia Hand – Unearthly

No way I only have three favourites, but those are some of them.
