Showcase Sunday (#18)

Posted February 24, 2013 by Emma in Blog / 19 Comments

Showcase Sunday is a weekly meme hosted by Vicky at Books, Biscuits & Tea.
Its an opportunity to highlight our newest books or book related swag and to see what everyone else received for review, borrowed from libraries, bought in bookshops and downloaded onto eReaders each week
Wow! Its been a weird couple of weeks and I haven’t had a chance to review or showcase some the beautiful books I have received over the past few weeks! I’ve been very busy with my YA Display which you can see here, so thank you to all the contributed and helped!
For Review:

 Fractured by Teri Terry
Speechless by Hannah Harrington
Heist Society by Ally Carter
Dreams by Daniela Sacerdoti
Nobody by Allen Zadoff (Not in Picture)
Bought:
Level 2 by Lenore Appelhans
From NetGalley/Edelweiss
Witch Fire by Laura Powell
The Disgrace of Kitty Grey by Mary Hopper
The Bane by Keary Taylor
The Rules of Disappearing by Ashley Elston
Exile by Rebecca Lim
Chantress by Amy Butler Greenfield
Legacy of the Clockwork Key by Kristin Bailey

Well it’s been a productive few weeks I’ll say.. I would say this is somewhat a manageable pile from others that I have showcased in previous post… I wish! Anyways, I’m very excited to read all of these books; Dreams is part of an Blog Tour from the publisher which I’m very eager to start straight away. Heist Society, I was very lucky to receive from the publishers as I’ve seen a huge response of Perfect Scoundrels and my love for Ally’s Gallagher Girl’s series.. which I hear is sadly ending this year! I haven’t bought a book in ages as I seem to be using the library more often but Level 2 has had such brilliant reviews that I had to buy myself a copy. I’ve had an account with Edelweiss for a while and its very rare for me to receive copies from them so I’m happy to receive both Chantress and Legacy of a Clockwork Key! Aside from my review books I also received some signed personal swag from Sarah Crossan, author of Breathe
A Big Thanks to Bloomsbury, Harlequin, Hachette, Black & White Publishing, Simon and Schuster, Disney Book Group and Sarah Crossan!

Well… What do you think? Have you read any of these novels? I would love to know… Leave me a link to your Sunday Post and I will be sure to see what you received!?

  1. Wow, so many wonderful books. You are so lucky. I also love the Gallagher Girl series but I am yet to read Heist Society. I noticed that your currently reading What's Left of Me, I just finished it and it is really good. It will be fun to swap opinions. Any how I just contacted you about requesting one of your fabulous graphic designs and I look forward to hearing from you soon. Happy Reading.

PS. I'd love it if you checked out my blog.

  2. The Disgrace of Kitty Grey has such a stunning cover! *.* Also, I really enjoyed Hannah's previous book so I'm really curious about Speechless. Hope you enjoy it!

PS. new follower here. 🙂 I can't believe I wasn't following you yet. Sorry! x

  3. Ah so many books!
I love Mary Hooper, she is one of the best historical fiction writers I could recommend. I also read Hannah Harrington's Saving June, which was amazing, so I hope you enjoy Speechless (I still need to read it myself…)

  4. Loved Fractured, it was a fab sequel! I was a an of Hoopers other novel Fallen Grace, so I can't wait to read Kitty Grey. ^^ Chantress sounds awesome, too.

  5. Wow, AMAZING books! 🙂 I read Level 2 the other week and it was okay but it could have been better, in my opinion! The whole concept is really unique!
I need to read the Heist Society series, I think I am missing out BIG time >.< I have only read a couple of the Gallagher Girls series too *hangs head in shame*

Speechless sounds amazing! The amount of good reviews I have read about that one is unreal. I hope you enjoy that one plus your other books! The Breathe swag is awesome 🙂

  6. Wow! One of the best hauls I've seen lately! You have Fractured!!!! I loved Slated so much, and it was one of my favourite reads of last year. I can't wait to get my hands on a copy of Fractured, and I really hope that you enjoy it. (And isn't the cover really lovely – it's great how they've kept the theme going without making it too similar to the 1st book.)

Ally Carter is an amazing author, although I've only read her Gallagher Girls series and still need to start the Heist Society books. They look really good though, so hopefully you'll enjoy it. 🙂

Your other books look brilliant too. The swag looks fantastic!

Enjoy everything you got this week, Emma. I'll definitely be looking out for your reviews of these awesome novels. :)xxx
