Well hello again everyone, I’m back with your another blog tour review. Again this is one of my most anticipated books of 2018, I was lucky enough to read it over Christmas, and it was truly magnificent. So today I share with you my review, but before that here is a little bit more about the book.

Zenith (The Androma Saga #1)
by Sasha Alsberg & Lindsay Cummings
Publisher – HQ
Release Date – 11th January 2018
Buy – Amazon | Book Depository

Most know Androma Racella as the Bloody Baroness, a powerful mercenary whose reign of terror stretches across the Mirabel Galaxy. To those aboard her glass starship, Marauder, however, she’s just Andi, their friend and fearless leader.

But when a routine mission goes awry, the Marauder’s all-girl crew is tested as they find themselves in a treacherous situation—and at the mercy of a sadistic bounty hunter from Andi’s past.

Meanwhile, across the galaxy, a ruthless ruler waits in the shadows of the planet Xen Ptera, biding her time to exact revenge for the destruction of her people. The pieces of her deadly plan are about to fall into place, unleashing a plot that will tear Mirabel in two.

Andi and her crew embark on a dangerous, soul-testing journey that could restore order to their ship—or just as easily start a war that will devour worlds. As the Marauder hurtles toward the unknown, and Mirabel hangs in the balance, the only certainty is that in a galaxy run on lies and illusion, no one can be trusted.

A book that defies the stars…

The best way to describe this book is ‘All kick-ass girls Guardian of the Galaxy’! A stunning novel and a brilliant start to such a spell-binding series. When I first started reading this book I knew I was going to love it, there was an addiction, but it had something else, something that I hadn’t seen in a long time…not since the days of when I read The Vampire Academy series like there was no tomorrow.

Four girls, Andi, aka the Bloody Baroness and her crew Lira, Breck and Gilly on-board the sleekest and most sought after starship in the Mirabel Galaxy. Each of these girls, ladies have been running, fighting for something in their past, and Andi has saved them and now they are under her guidance, her responsibility to protect, her family, the heart of the ship. They have been running for years, it isn’t until ‘government lackeys’ as Andi would say, caught up with there everything changes. A routine mission that turns against them, an old flame of Andi past reappears, and a war that has raged and built across the stars is finally unearthed…

This crew is by no means perfect, each of them have their own specialties, Andi is a haunted by nightmares of her past, by day she is this bottle of energy, striking her enemies and she won’t give up. But Andi is still human, every kill she makes, she dances with them, it’s always there, heavy on back. Lira, her second in almost everything, she was lost in her life, until she was found by Andi, she has very peculiar qualities but overall she’s best when she flies true. Breck and Gilly, two total opposites but best work as one, Breck is known for her giant genes and strenght, whilst, Gilly is cunning and also cheeky. My favourite has to be little Gilly, she maybe young, but she is one hell of fighter. Whilst Dex, the cunning romantic, and brutal Guardian, he’s also a player, all he wants is his own glory. Although I loathed him at times and the way he treated Andi, he certainly has balls to go up an all female starship crew, capable of real damage Guardian of otherwise.

“She’d stolen his ship, filled it with the fiercest females in the galaxy, and together the, the girls had made it their own!” (Taken from a proof copy – subject to change)

The most important aspect of this book was family, friendship that the crew of the Maruder unveiled. Through love, loss, fear and anger, those girls will fight for each through time and space. There, that’s the connection that you feel with Zenith that I haven’t read in a long time – that is the secret to this book, the connection. The connection with the authors and the readers, through the most diverse and wacky crew you think of imaginable – the characters that every reader will find relatable and will love. This is my first book from either of these writers, I don’t know their writing style individually, but they way they write together, it really compliments each other.

Zenith will be the best book you read this year – it’s the hottest new series, it combines all the great sci-fi fantasy novels to date. You won’t want to miss it! Androma and her crew will fly true through the YA universe.

Rating – 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
