HELLO, I’M EMMA. I’m a UK book blogger, YA reader, Secondary School Librarian and coffee lover. Welcome to my corner of the internet, Never Judge a Book by its Cover. This blog was established in 2012 to review YA books. Since then it’s become a hub of book recommendations, author interviews, and in 2024 I will be starting my own YA book club. I did with this one, One Last Breath by @ginnymyerssain as I wasn’t sure what to pick. you’ll agree that it will hook you.

This was a unique supernatural thriller, my first book of Ginny’s and I can’t wait to read her others.

For me it’s seeing my review on the back of a book. For one of my favourite book Thorn by @booksbyintisar . I never knew I was on the back until I found a copy on the library. It’s a series I still need to complete but Thorn is amazing of you haven’t read it already.

I finished this on my holiday week and I genuinely loved it so much. Why do you ask…

👑 The writing, the world building and escapism of the world Holly creates. It’s the beauty and simplicity of the Faerie world that we as readers never want to leave.
👑It’s magical in every sense of the word. It’s Elfhame!
👑It’s the laughter, the love and smiles we endure when we get to know character. Especially cheeky ones like Oak.
👑Following our beloved characters Jude and Carden 🥰

I went on holiday by the sea the last 4 days and I read and read and absolutely loved it. I read z the Prisoners Throne ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (thank you for the review copy @hotkeybooks )

Yesterday was a gorgeous day and I started The Reappearance of Rachel Price. There is something about the sounds of the waves and sea that is just so relaxing. It was much needed.
