HELLO, I’M EMMA. I’m a UK book blogger, YA reader, Secondary School Librarian and coffee lover. Welcome to my corner of the internet, Never Judge a Book by its Cover. This blog was established in 2012 to review YA books. Since then it’s become a hub of book recommendations, author interviews, and in 2024 I will be starting my own YA book club. I have 2 - my own YA on here @nverjudgeabookclub - which I’m super proud of for starting this year.

Then I also joined my local Waterstones as my lovely friend @kellytalks_ runs which I’ve been too for nearly a year. This one challenges me to read outside of comfort zone and meet other likeminded readers.

This month’s read is This is How You Lose the Time War by @max.gladstone and the next slide are some books I’ve read and loved as part of the club. 🥰

Yes I’m jumping on this trend. This morning I had a lovely time with my morning coffee personalising my kindle. My next read is on my kindle so I thought it’s about time I do it. I also designed a little wallpaper too. 🍂✨

I am more of paperback reader than kindle. But I like the change.

I did with this one, One Last Breath by @ginnymyerssain as I wasn’t sure what to pick. you’ll agree that it will hook you.

For me it’s seeing my review on the back of a book. For one of my favourite book Thorn by @booksbyintisar . I never knew I was on the back until I found a copy on the library. It’s a series I still need to complete but Thorn is amazing of you haven’t read it already.

I finished this on my holiday week and I genuinely loved it so much. Why do you ask…

👑 The writing, the world building and escapism of the world Holly creates. It’s the beauty and simplicity of the Faerie world that we as readers never want to leave.
👑It’s magical in every sense of the word. It’s Elfhame!
👑It’s the laughter, the love and smiles we endure when we get to know character. Especially cheeky ones like Oak.
👑Following our beloved characters Jude and Carden 🥰
