Showcase Sunday (#12)

Showcase Sunday is a weekly meme hosted by Vicky at Books, Biscuits & Tea.

Its an opportunity to highlight our newest books or book related swag and to see what everyone else received for review, borrowed from libraries, bought in bookshops and downloaded onto eReaders each week.

This week has been the BEST week by far… Eeeeeeeeeek! I’m so lucky to have receive these books and I can’t get over the BIG grin plastered on my face! xD (Instead of a comment on each I will link it to Goodreads!)

I have changed how I lay this out as it would be easier to showcase… Anyways, LOOOOOOOOOK! What a Showcase this week. How I’m going to get through them, is anyone’s guess. Hehe. Let’s start Mystic City I have seen across many blogs and I have seen some brilliant reviews, So I can’t wait to read this book. Then there’s Heaven, what a gorgeous cover. I have read the first though I need to re-read it to remind of what happened as well as the second. Can’t wait to read it! Now, Rachel Caine, she is an amazing author and I’m so happy to read the latest in the Morganville Series. I have bought everyone since they came out and now I would never thought I would receive them for request. I’m so excited. *Swoon* Shane!!!!! Then there is her other YA series The Revivalist which I’m equally looking forward to reading and to see what the comparisons are like between the two in her structure and style. The Pledge is another one that I was offered and I took the chance as it too looked so good read, conceptionally very different from what I would usually read. Now Jane Eyrotica, Urm What can I say, I was very surprised by receiving it… it shocked me an made me laugh, how Fifty Shades has influenced such a wide variety of books. I haven’t read Jane Eyre before, so maybe that’s a good thing. Larissa Ione is one of my favourite Adult Fantasy writers and I can’t wait to read this book in comparison with the other series I have read. Storm’s Heart is one I didn’t request I have never read the series before, but it looks so good and the cover, gorgeous! I was very lucky enough to receive the physical copy of Forbidden which I did receive via NetGalley, but Hey, I just love receiving these.
As That was my major part of my Showcase I have also received a very big collection from NetGalley and I seriously don’t know when I have the time to read these. But I’d better crack on! Hysteria, Coveted, The You Know Who Girls: Freshman Year, Undeadly and City of Dark Magic I have been so excited that I received them! Whoop! But I love the whole Showcase! *Swoon for Books* xD
I would like to say a MASSIVE THANK YOU to Bloomsbury, Atom, Piakus (Little Brown), Allison & Busby,  Penguin, Random House Publishing Group, (NetGalley-) Harlequin, BelleBooks Inc, Angry Robot, Tor/Forge, Odyssey Books, Merit Press, Bold Strokes Books, and Flux Books.
Soooo, what do you think? Did you receive any these Books? Have you read these? I would like to know what you thought!
Are you taking part? Leave me link, I would love to see what you received this week!

Happy Reading!

  1. Oh Hysteria – I liked Megan Miranda's Fracture, but I'm not requesting on NG anymore so I'll have to wait for that one to come out.

You have some fabulous books this week, Mystic City is right up on my TBR!

    Enjoy 😀

  2. Hi Emma,

Firstly, thank you for following my blog.

That is a pretty big pile of reading that you have there.

There's a couple there which are either on my Wish List or that I'm interested in.

    Enjoy your reads.

  3. What an amazing haul! I have read working Stiff and it is amazing… if you like Rachel Caines writing style 🙂

I bough Bitter Blood this week too! 🙂 it is going on next weeks showcase though as I bought it yesterday 🙂

I am a huge fan of the TVD books and TV series 🙂 nice to meet someone who is the same! and definitely team Damon.. totally blinded by his dark sexiness! What team are you ? 🙂

    Happy Reading 🙂

  4. Wow Emma where do I even begin? Your showcase is seriously an epic one this week!! I really need to start The Morganville Vampires series, there's been so many praising reviews for it and I'm already 13 books behind! I also want to read The Pledge, so can't wait to hear your thoughts on it! Hope you enjoy all your books! 🙂

So many awesome looking books! Mystic city is definitely one I want to read at some point, Renegade and Undeadly look good too! Enjoy all of these new books!

  6. So many good books I just don't know where to begin. I saw 'Mystic City' a lot lately and it sound really interesting. And I really need to read 'The Pledge' soon. I loved Body Finder series so I hope this will be good too. I read the first in Elder Races series and it was fun so I should get 'Storm's Heart' soon to continue the series. I got 'Pantomime' and 'City of Dark Magic' from NetGalley too, but didn't read them yet.
The only book I read from your pile is 'UnEarthed' by Rebecca Bloomer. It's a great short YA SF. I loved it very much, you can read my review here.
Well, that's all from me. Great haul! 🙂

  7. What an amazing haul, Emma! I love the Morganville Vamp series! I'm 2 books behind so I'd better catch up. The Pledge was an okay read to me, hope it works out better for you. Jane Eyre erotica? Hmm…can't wait to see what you make of that, lol. I've heard good things about Mystic City. I've been seeing Pantomime around. It looks interesting. I keep debating on whether I should request it. Enjoy your reads, Emma. 🙂

  8. Wow, how do you get so many physical copies? Do you email the publishers individually? =)
Enjoy reading them – hope you can find the time!

  9. Wowowow! Amazing haul! I never saw that edition of The Pledge. It looks softer than the maroon one. And the cover of Dancing in the Dark is so cool! Thanks for stopping by! Love your blog, been visiting it for quite sometimes but never had enough time to leave comments. 🙂

  10. WOW, amazing books! I am dying to read Mystic City, Undeadly and the Halo series! 😀 I am planning to request Hysteria from Net Galley, wish me luck… the cover is stunning!
