Today, I’m part of the Dare You To by Mira Ink. I’m super excited about this tour and this post. My stop is a Character Interview with Noah Hutchins, I know that you all missed him in this novel by Katie, so I thought I would bridge that gap in your heart for you, so I hope y’all enjoy it! But first here is a little more about the book…

Title – Dare You To (Pushing the Limits #2)
Author – Katie McGarry
Publisher – MiraInk
Pages – 352
Release – June 7th 2013
Purchased – Amazon

If anyone knew the truth about Beth Risk’s home life, they’d send her mother to jail and seventeen-year-old Beth who knows where. So she protects her mom at all costs. Until the day her uncle swoops in and forces Beth to choose between her mom’s freedom and her own happiness. That’s how Beth finds herself living with an aunt who doesn’t want her and going to a school that doesn’t understand her. At all. Except for the one guy who shouldn’t get her, but does….

Ryan Stone is the town golden boy, a popular baseball star jock-with secrets he can’t tell anyone. Not even the friends he shares everything with, including the constant dares to do crazy things. The craziest? Asking out the Skater girl who couldn’t be less interested in him.

But what begins as a dare becomes an intense attraction neither Ryan nor Beth expected. Suddenly, the boy with the flawless image risks his dreams-and his life-for the girl he loves, and the girl who won’t let anyone get too close is daring herself to want it all….

About Katie McGarry

Katie was a teenager during the age of grunge and boy bands and remembers those years as the best and worst of her life. She is a lover of music, happy endings, reality television, and is a secret University of Kentucky basketball fan. Writing has given Katie an excuse to pursue her passions. Research for her books has provided her with the amazing opportunity to train with baseball players, ride along in a drag car at ninety-six miles per hour and experience boxing and mixed martial arts.

Katie is the author of the full-length Young Adult novels PUSHING THE LIMITS and DARE YOU TO, and the e-novella CROSSING THE LINE. Her debut novel, PUSHING THE LIMITS, is a 2012 Goodreads Choice Finalist for YA Fiction. Katie’s next novel CRASH INTO YOU will published by Mira Ink in December 2013.

Character Interview with Noah Hutchins

What is the best part about having Beth in your life? The worst?
Beth makes me feel like I have family. She’s that person that I can be mad at and she can be mad right back, but we’ll still stand by each other at the end of the day. It’s unconditional on both sides.

While I love that about her, she has a way of making my life complicated. She’s wary of anything or anyone new and she gives my girlfriend Echo a harder time than I’d prefer.

Did you think that Beth would wind up with Isaiah?
I did, but it was like watching two trains on the same track minutes away from colliding. They care for each other without a doubt, but Isaiah’s gasoline and Beth’s an already out of control wildfire. They wouldn’t have been good together.

What do you think about Beth and Ryan?
They’re good together. Would I have ever seen Beth with a jock, especially with what’s happened in her past? No way, but he’s patient with her. More patient than I am and you can tell by how he looks at her that he’s one hundred percent in love.

Do you wish Beth still lived closer or are you happier for her to be living with her uncle?
Beth’s exactly where she needs to be: away from all the mess of her previous life. Sometimes, people have to leave in order to start over again.

Finally, what’s new with you? Will we be seeing more of you and Echo in any future books?
I’m in college and Echo and I are still together. We always make time for our friends, especially when they’re in trouble, so I think it’s safe to say that we’ll be there when Isaiah needs us.

Noah Hutchins for me will not beat Ryan, he’s my Book boyfriend forever and always. But for those Noah fans, this especially for you. Katie McGarry is one of my ultimate favorite contemporary writers of this day. If you haven’t read any of her books, your missing so much… If you need any more convincing, check out my review of Pushing the Limits here… and as I started this week with this tour I will publish my review of Dare You To at the end of the week… So stay tuned.

  1. You must be really excited about hosting this tour stop! I have Dare To You on my Kindle so I really need to get around to reading it. Ryan sounds great and I love Noah. Character interviews are such a good idea 🙂 Great guest post!

  2. Finally my phone starts working again!!! Yaaaaaaay! Absolutely adored Dare You To, even liked it better than PtL so you can keep Noah as long as I have Isaiah 😉
    Such a good interview!

  3. Aww, this is just too cute. I like Ryan too but I prefer Noah still. Haha. I just finished this book a couple of days ago and I loved it. Beth was indeed a wildfire and it took me some time warming into her but in the end I'd come to like and appreciate her too. Wonderful post, Emma. 🙂

I LOVE Ryan, but I think Noah will always be my favourite. Probably only for the reason that I fell for him first. Really like this interview! I hope we get to see some of both Ryan/Beth and Echo/Noah in the final book. Thanks for sharing. 🙂
