Showcase Sunday is a weekly meme hosted by Vicky at Books, Biscuits & Tea.
Its an opportunity to highlight our newest books or book related swag and to see what everyone else received for review, borrowed from libraries, bought in bookshops and downloaded onto eReaders each week.

Its been a while since I’ve done a Showcase Sunday so I thought I would do one this week. After a much deserved break from college forever and now working full time, I can now get back to reading all the time without any interruption of any coursework, revision and essays. I’d say that’s its a time to celebrate… well after my results that is, next Thursday, so wish me luck! *fingers-crossed* But this week has been a great week of ARCs through the post… I feel for my posty, but he is a great man to leave them on my doorstep. Thank the Royal Service as well as the Publishers for these:

ACID by Emma Pass
The Iron Traitor by Julie Kagawa
The 100 by Kass Morgan
Rolling Dice by Beth Reekles
Time Between Us by Tamara Ireland Stone
I’m really looking forward to reading all of these. So thank you to Random House, Hodder and MiraInk. Though I have never read The Boy in Stripped Pajamas by John Boyne so I’m a little nervous about this one. Also between my Showcase Sunday and this one I have added a new addition to my bedroom to cater for all these beautiful ARCs
So this is what I plan on tackling for the rest of the year… I also bought recently This Is What Happy Looks Like by Jennifer E Smith, Angel Fever by L.A Weatherly, The 5th Wave by Rick Yancey, and finally I also received Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo gifted by the lovely Rebekah over at Reflections of a Bookworm. AND….Finally I got myself a new Kindle. My old one was getting slow and blipping out so I have requested quite a lot of e-Galleys at the mo, but I’m being a good girl from now on and I’m going on “NetGalley – Ban” until further notice or even if there is a book that I would really like! Ha!
On the blog this week was my review of All Our Yesterdays by Cristin Terrill

Well that’s my haul for this week (or for the last 5 months) Have you read any of these novels? I would love to know… Leave me a link to your Sunday Post and I will be sure to see what you received!?

  1. Awesome haul Emma! I also got ACID for review in June and I loved it. It such a action packed dystopian that definitely deserves more attention. My expectations were passed and it was way better then I thought. So I hope you like it as much as I did. I've ordered a Iron Fey Boxset because I loved book one so much, so I'll be interested to see what the Iron Traitor is about. I also got This is What Happy Looks Like and The 5th Wave recently and while I haven't finished T5W everyone raves about it and TIWHLL is my favourite contemporary romances. Good luck with your results, thanks for stopping by my STS 🙂

  2. I haven't visited your blog in so long…and I love the new design! It's brilliant, and so is the font used for the tabs at the top.

I really want to read ACID, I've heard so many good things about this one! I also haven't read The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas but, I hope you enjoy Josh Boyne's other books!

The Fifth Wave is really good! I enjoyed it – and the main character is kick-butt!

Good luck with your exam results – I'm sure you nailed them! 🙂

  3. I really want to read Acid, The Time Between Us, and The 100. That bookshelf looks so neat and tidy. Mine lacks in comparison. I always feel like my shelves are messy. I wan to read Angel Fever soooooo bad! I really enjoyed the last two books in the trilogy and I need to know how it all ends. I haven' read The 5th Wave yet, but I own a copy. You got a new Kindle! That's awesome!

  4. I want to read Acid soooo bad! I've heard nothing but brilliant things about this author, and am eager to discover what the hype is all about.

I got the chance to ask for a review copy of Time Between Us, but turned it down as I'm trying to finally make a dent in my review pile. But everyone is saying it's a great read – I hope you enjoy it as much as so many other people have. 😀

TIWHLL is one of the cutest, most adorable books ever! The beginning will have you hooked, as I definitely was! I haven't read The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas but saw the movie and it broke my heart. I'm not sure if the book is meant to be even more heart-breaking, but very emotional all the same.

Thank you so much for sharing this lovely bookish post with us, Emma! Enjoy all of these new novels x

And best of luck with your results! I'm sure you did amazing, so don't worry too much. *sends virtual cupcakes in advance for when you get awesome results* ;)xx

My Showcase Sunday, in case you want to drop by 🙂 http://bookedupbloggers.blogspot.co.uk/2013/08/showcase-sunday-why-ive-not-been-around.html

  5. Good Luck in your results, I'll be thinking of you when I get mine too 🙂
I've read The 5th Wave which is SO SO SO good. It's a bit different to anything else I've read, I really like it.
I've also heard great things about Acid and This is What Happy Looks Like.
    Enjoy!

  6. I really enjoyed Acid 🙂
I love the sound of The 100 and The Time Between Us. Both sound really good!
I had no idea John Boyne had a book coming out this year. I'll definitely be looking out for that one. The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas is so sad!
    Happy reading 🙂

Good luck getting your results from college!
Shadow and Bone was so good! I really hope you enjoy it, and if you do the second book is out so no waiting yay!
I'm so jealous that you got the Iron Traitor, but I think I'll wait until all the series is out then read the rest of it then 🙂
    Enjoy everything!

  8. Good luck!!! 🙂 *fingers crossed*
Stay Where You Are & Then Leave looks brilliant, I love how it's wrapped up with a string 🙂 I haven't read The Boy in Stripped Pajamas either, by the way, but it's been on my wishlist for a while.

    Hope you enjoy it! x

  9. ACID is amazing and one of my favourite dystopians. And it's UKYA which is a bonus!
I love the look of The 100. It's getting so much hype at the moment! Very jealous of Time Between Us.

    Happy reading, Emma!

  10. You've added so many great new books! Love the photo of your new book case–it looks much more organized than most of mine.

Thanks for visiting my blog. My thoughts on Revenge Wears Prada: it was just so-so. Maybe it's because I didn't read the first book, but I saw the movie and really enjoyed it. I was disappointed with the sequel–maybe it will make a better movie.

  11. So many glorious new books! The 100 sounds really interesting and I love the look of Stay Where You Are as well. Enjoy 🙂

I hope you get the results you want! Waiting for results is definitely the worst part in my opinion.

It looks like you've got a fantabulous book haul. I'm a little jealous that you get to read THE IRON TRAITOR early 😉 The other five books look really interesting too, and I hope you enjoy reading them all. And I love your new bookself, it looks awesome.

    I followed you back.

  13. Good luck on your NetGalley requests!

I think I'm gonna be asking for a Kindle proper this year for my b-day, cause I'm currently using the Kindle app on my tablet and phone, but I think the Kindle might be a better idea.

I loved ACID! I hope you'll love it! Great haul!

And All Our Yesterdays? Absolutely loved it!!

  14. I'm have myself on a Netgalley ban myself (I'm just really bad with Netgalley on a whole). But it looks like you've got some good books, I've heard great things about The Boy in Stripped Pajamas and The 5th Wave. I hope you enjoy your books, happy reading!

  15. Amazing haul! I got the Time Between Us as well, and also bought a new bookshelf! The 100 and Stay Where You Are and Then Leave sound amazing. Good luck for your results!
