JULY WRAP-UP & AUGUST TBR

Posted August 1, 2018 by Emma in Monthly Wrap-Up Post, Most Anticipated, TBR / 1 Comment

Hi Everyone, it’s the end of July already and I can’t believe it. The end of term finally came around and all I’ve done since is caught up on some reading – See my Summer Reading Post for more on what I hope to read these 6 weeks. I’ve been relaxing – this heatwave seriously hasn’t helped with sleeping as we all know and just enjoying the time off. Next week I am off on holiday to Cornwall for a whole week so I can’t wait – although swimming in the see will be interesting as there was a shark reported in the harbour a couple of weeks ago.

On another note – this month sees a lot of releases in YA that I can’t wait to read and I’m starting my most anticipated of the entire year today as we speak. Can you guess? If you know then you’ll know straight away. ARE WE ALL LEMMINGS AND SNOWFLAKES? by Holly Bourne!!!! As you have probably seen over Twitter, Instagram and YALC with the #KindnessisContagious hashtag, Holly wants to spread it and that’s what I intend to do from next week. Make sure you stop my blog on Friday to find out all.

Books I Read
Truly Madly Awkward by Beth Garrod – 5/5
Access All Awkward by Beth Garrod – 5/5
Theatrical by Maggie Harcourt – 5/5
Jinxed by Amy McCulloch – 4/5

Books Reviewed
Book of the Month
As you can see I read a lot of amazing books, but Theatrical hit a part of me that really touched and enlightened me. Read my review – you’ll understand it more.
This month I received – Thank you so much lovely publishers.

It’s been a lighter month which I’m thankful for as my TBR pile is already toppling over – you know how that feels. I can’t wait to read all of these. I was very lucky to receive some american proofs courtesy of Harper 360 and I can’t wait to read Heart of Thorns, sounds incredible. Girl At Sea I’m taking on holiday because well – it’s the perfect beach read. Show Shopper and Show Stealer I received as part of a blog tour as I love circuses and the magic of them.
